Bioware has recently announced that they plan to continue support for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 for ... well ... a really long time.
From what it looks like, the DLCs will just keep pouring out. With Dragon Age, being the first game to have a DLC (which cost extra money) come out at the same time as the release, and Mass Effect, which is following closely in its footsteps, Bioware has made a ton of money. It was something around $2 million that Bioware made in the first week of Dragon Age, only on the DLCs, and they seem to know that continuing on that path will work out just fine for them.
“We like to support our games long-term,” BioWare founder told IGN.
“Our fans are really important to us, and we try and support them. We have long-term plans for both Dragon Age and Mass Effect.”
